passed on to John Griffiths by the last Saturday before the next meeting
INFORMAL LUNCH
The next informal lunch will be on Tuesday 7th February at noon at the RBL Ferndown, lists on the table tonight, any further information from John Cusack.
The
Christmas lunch held on 10th January was well attended and enjoyed
by all and pleased to see Bob Hucklesby in fine fettle.
A special birthday to note
Is that of Dennis Brown who celebrates his
80Th Birthday on 1st February 2017, congratulations to Dennis.
AGM
Notice to members that
the Branch AGM will be held at the meeting on 15th March, any
business you wish to be discussed at the AGM should be submitted in writing to
the chairman by 1st March 2017.
Branch subs
Are
due now, no change from last year at £15 and paid to the treasurer now.
Vacancies
Phil has given notice that he wishes to stand down
from his post as President, so a new President is needed for the AGM, also
Richard is standing down as Social secretary so these posts need to be filled
ASAP, nomination forms are on the table tonight or if required contact John
Griffiths if you need one by post. Both these positions need filling
urgently.
Welfare
Colonel Jim Joiner has been in hospital for a
few weeks but is home now, his wife has asked for no visitors at this time
because he is being fed through a tube and
they are getting used to caring for him.
Roy Athay has been in Bournemouth hospital since Christmas, we send him our
best wishes and wish him well.
Branch annual Lunch
The Annual lunch is to be
held on 29th April 2017 at the Cumberland Hotel and the cost will be
£17.50p per person, payment and menu choice to Richard by 1st April.
Entertainment
The entertainment at the
February 15th Meeting will be “My Life and times at Harrods” by
Robin Cook.
