NEWSLETTER FEBRUARY

Newsletter for Branch meeting on 15th February 2017

Please note any information for the newsletter to be passed on to John Griffiths by the last Saturday before the next meeting

Norman David Osborne.
We sadly report the death of  Norman who passed away on 19th January 2017.  His funeral took place on 7th February at 1300hrs at Bournemouth Crematorium and was well attended by members, Bert paraded the Standard.
He joined the branch in May 1988 as a life member and during his time with the branch both Norman and his wife Edie were enthusiastic supporters of the branch.
Norman joined the corps in the late nineteen forties spending much of his service in Kenya as a Sapper where his unit was involved with the laying of an important water pipeline, he recalled it as very strenuous work in such a high temperature.
For a long time both Norman and Edie helped greatly with the welfare of a branch member who lived near to them in Ringwood.
He will be greatly missed by branch members and our sincere sympathies go to Norman’s family.
