GEORGE WARREN,   1919--2014..
It is with sadness we announce the passing of George, suddenly on Sunday 27th April at the age of 94.
The funeral took place on Thursday 8th May at Bournemouth Crematorium. . 4 Members and 5 Ladies attended.   George was born in Essex, one of four children. He loved football as a young man and would have liked to play professionally but this was not to be. He served in World War 2 from 1940 using Dynamite to blow up bridges etc.  On one occasion he was travelling in a lorry which ran into a bomb crater. Of the 20 men on board George was the only survivor.   In 1944 he was a member of a heavy plant squadron serving in Normandy.  After the War he moved south and worked at Fawley Refinery.  No other details are available. He joined Bournemouth Branch in August 1988 six years after the branch was formed. Our message of sympathy goes to all family and friends
